JBL Introduces OnBeat Venue™ LT

There have now been a total of three iOS devices released with the new Lightning connector, but until now, there were no speaker docks with which consumers could charge them. Jumping on the opportunity is the first-ever Lightning-equipped speaker dock, the JBL® OnBeat Venue™ LT. It charges your iPad 4, iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, while also having the ability to play audio either directly through the Lightning port, over an auxiliary port or via Bluetooth.

The JBL OnBeat Venue LT allows you to take your some of your favorite Apple devices to the next level of, opening the door to a unique consumer experience where a powerful, wireless, Bluetooth-equipped loudspeaker dock — for the latest Apple devices — now comes armed with the Lightning connector. The JBL OnBeat Venue LT allows the consumer to experience true JBL high-definition sound for music, movies, videos and games on your iPad mini, iPad (4th generation), iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation) or iPod nano (7th generation). It also wirelessly streams music from any Bluetooth-enabled device.

Skeptical about signal strength? No need to be, as HARMAN TrueStream™ technology guarantees the best possible wireless performance. Just think, small box, big sound. Since this little powerhouse is a JBL speaker system, the brand prides itself on delivering great quality, JBL sound. The JBL OnBeat Venue LT offers 30 watts of amplification –- surely enough to get people up and dancing or help tune out unwanted surrounding noise and interruptions.

Let’s not forget about the “special effects”, the power-packed loudspeaker’s featured Lightning connector allows it to both “dock and rock” according to the manufacturer, “with exceptional JBL bass and the latest Apple functionality, you get both thunder and lightning“.

In it’s physical make-up, the OnBeat Venue LT is similar to its non-Lightning predecessor, with smooth, rounded styling and a slide-out drawer where you dock your Apple device. And although there is no remote control included with this unit, you can in fact control the unit with your iOS device.

All in all the JBL OnBeat Venue LT seems to be making quiet a name for itself — cue the “little loudpseaker that could” reference. And with a cost of $199.95, it can be agreed that this JBL offering is a good value, given the positive reviews its received and its array of features.
