Theater Complements Sleek, Modern Home

While Florida might be one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country, residents of the Sunshine State still feel the need to get away sometimes. No matter how fun a vacation might be, however, there’s one aspect of a trip that everyone eventually looks forward to—coming home.

For this reason, travelers who call the Tampa Bay area home value the comforts their houses have to offer, including the audio, video and automation systems provided by the South Tampa-based integration company Audio Visions South.

A few years ago, one Tampa-area business owner embarked upon a mission to find a high-end home theater system that would complement his sleek and modern home visually as well as aurally. After consulting the staff at Audio Visions South, the Davis Island resident decided on a home theater system consisting of a 5.1-channel Wilson Audio system paired with a Sony projector and Stewart Filmscreen. In the business owner’s home, there are four fulltime residents with two additional college students who come back regularly to visit. While the couple is the home’s only full-time residents, multiple members of their families and friends visit and house-sit often, so ease of use was a key element in their system as well.

Following the completion of their home theater room, the Bayshore-area couple was so pleased with the result that they referred their neighbors to Audio Visions South as well.

As another retired couple that travels frequently, the neighbors had similar desires for the system they were planning to install in their home. The bright, effervescent Bayshore-area condominium features décor from all over the world. To its residents, ensuring that a high-end audio/visual system would not come at the expense of the home’s aesthetics was very important.

“They have a beautiful pair of Wilson Duette speakers that can be hidden in the top of the cabinet,” Liu says. “They can close the cabinet doors and close the system away.”

By incorporating the pair of Wilson Audio Duette speakers with a Fujitsu plasma TV and components from Musical Fidelity, AV South was able to create a high-performance system that can blend right into the room’s décor at a moment’s notice.

Along with aesthetic appeal, this South Tampa-area couple’s other primary concern was simplicity. After returning from a long trip, the last thing they wanted to do was read through an instruction manual simply to listen to a CD. After seeking answers at multiple audio/video dealers, however, they were left confused. It wasn’t until they found Audio Visions South that the couple felt comfortable.

“We helped with a strong educational process to get them what they wanted and feel comfortable at the same time,” Liu says.
